How the Programmes Are Structured

Build First, Understand Second

Programmes are structured around an applied project. Conceptual content is introduced as it becomes necessary to progress the project, rather than front-loaded as theory.

Written Feedback at Every Stage

All submissions receive written instructor feedback addressing technical decisions, not just correctness. The computer vision module includes a mid-module one-to-one review.

Transparent Scope and Cost

Each programme publishes what it covers, what it does not cover, and what compute it requires. There are no surprises after enrolment.

Applied Language Model Engineering

Programme 01

Applied Language Model Engineering

RM 660 · 14 weeks · ~11 hrs/week

A fourteen-week programme covering retrieval pipelines, evaluation harnesses, prompt and context design, fine-tuning where warranted, and the cost and latency trade-offs that shape most real architectures. Learners build one substantial system across the programme and defend their design choices in a written review. Assumes working Python and some backend experience. One live session on Tuesday evenings per week.

Compute requirements

Standard laptop for most work. GPU access via rental may assist during fine-tuning experiments (not required). Cost stated up front if applicable.

Programme 02

Computer Vision Module

RM 395 · 9 weeks · ~7 hrs/week

A nine-week module covering image pipelines, convolutional architectures, transfer learning, annotation practice, and the practical accuracy limits of small datasets. Includes a project using a dataset the learner sources themselves — the school considers this the most useful and most demanding part of the module. Written feedback on every submission and a mid-module one-to-one review are included. A rented GPU is needed for roughly ten hours total; the cost is stated before enrolment.

Technical Readiness Assessment & Study Plan

RM 140 · Delivered within 1 week

A structured assessment of a prospective learner's current Python, mathematics, and engineering background, followed by a written study plan. The plan names what to learn first and which of the school's modules, if any, are a sensible fit right now. It will say plainly when someone would be better served by free public material for a few months before paying for anything. Completed within one week and usable at any school, not only this one.
